About us

Damon’s Rally Cap Charity believes that individuals and families affected by cancer should never have to fight alone. We understand the devastation that surrounds a cancer diagnosis, and we want to help those battling this disease rally with hope. Whether that’s through meals and supplies, monetary donations or other forms of support, every person and family impacted by cancer deserves their own cheering section.

Our mission

Damon’s Rally Cap Charity is dedicated to providing assistance and hope to those affected, either directly or indirectly, by cancer through monetary donations, meals and other forms of support.

About Damon

Damon's Rally Cap was created to honor the legacy and preserve the memory of Damon Lee Owen. Damon's passion for baseball, the St. Louis Cardinals and the University of Missouri athletics started at a young age. That passion and drive led him to play baseball at both Meramec Community College in St. Louis and Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Mo.

Baseball was his first love, but his family was his biggest love, especially his wife and daughter Kendall. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and everything outdoors. Damon played on several baseball teams after college until his illness made it too hard to continue.

Damon fought a heroic battle against thymus cancer for nearly four years until October 13, 2007. Damon's Rally Cap is for those who are facing their greatest fight yet – cancer. We're here to rally with you.

Damon’s Rally Cap Charity is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization funded solely by donations.  Your gift is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
